A 56-year-old man could face charges in Fort Collins after police say he struck and seriously injured a pedestrian Monday evening.
Wyatt McLaughlin hit the 24-year-old woman about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and City Park Avenue, according to investigators.
Police say the woman was walking northbound in the crosswalk on the east side of the intersection when she was hit.
“Investigators are working to determine the color of the traffic lights at the time of the collision,” police said in a Tuesday news release.
Police do not believe alcohol or speed contributed to the collision.
“The investigation is continuing and charges are pending,” the release said.
