A man suspected in two recent recreation-center burglaries and motor-vehicle thefts has been arrested, officials said Thursday.

Zechariah Randolph, 30, was arrested Tuesday evening by the Arvada Police Department, according to an Arvada police news release.

Police responded to the Apex Recreation Center about 9:30 p.m. Nov. 4 to investigate a vehicle theft.

Randolph is suspected of being the man who took a wallet and car keys from a secured locker in the men’s locker room between 6 and 8 p.m. and driving off with the vehicle.

The suspect, who was caught on videotape, looked like a suspect in a similar robbery at a Golden recreation center, Arvada police said.

Randolph was identified after visitors to the Arvada and Golden Facebook pages recognized him from surveillance video.

“We could not be more grateful to our law-abiding community whose partnership helped us to quickly identify and arrest our suspect,” the Arvada Police Department said in a news release.

Randolph was arrested on charges of motor-vehicle theft and burglary.
