An Adams County Sheriff’s deputy has been charged with misdemeanor assault in connection with an incident outside a bar this spring.
Deputy Jeffrey Stovall has been charged with third-degree assault for a May 24 incident outside Karely’s bar, 7069 Pecos St., according to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office.
A grand jury indictment in the case was certified Monday. Stovall is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 14.
The sheriff’s office has placed Stovall on administrative leave based on the grand jury indictment.
