It didn’t take long for Arenado to make a splash in 2015, as he made the catch of the season against the San Francisco Giants in April.
Arenado chased a pop foul down the left-field line at AT&T Park, and he made a running catch while diving over the tarp.
Rusin had some ups and downs for the Rockies in 2015, but no one will forget the shutout he threw against the San Diego Padres in a 5-0 victory.
It was the only complete-game shutout by a Rockies starting pitcher and the first thrown since Tyler Matzek beat the San Diego Padres in 2014 at Coors Field.
Arenado and Gonzalez looked like the bash brother of old, combining for 82 home runs. Arenado, the Rockies’ third baseman, hit a National League high 42 homers, and CarGo, in right field, belted 40.
The Silver Slugger award is voted on by the players and managers to determine the best hitter at each position.
The Rockies’ all-star third baseman did it again this year by being awarded his third consecutive National League Gold Glove. Arenado is the first NL third baseman to win three Gold Gloves in his first three season in the league.
Can Arenado make it 4-for-4 in 2016? My guess would be yes, he can.
De La Rosa has been considered the ace of the Rockies’ staff and is one of the few players who has had success at 20th and Blake over the years.
On June 14, De La Rosa beat the Miami Marlins and picked up his fourth win of the season, his 73rd career victory in a Rockies uniform, passing Aaron Cook to become the club’s all-time leader.
The Rockies have been searching for starting pitching for years. With a number of young arms down on the farm, fans were excited to see Gray make his big-league debut against the Mariners.
Gray, the No. 3 pick overall in 2013, finished the season 0-2 with a 5.53 era. He is looking to have a breakout year for the Rockies in 2016. Keep an eye on this young fireballer.
Like Gray, Rodgers was selected with the No. 3 pick overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.
Rodgers, 18, was committed to Florida State but said he already reached a contract agreement with the Rockies. Let’s keep and eye on this heralded player as he makes his way up the ladder in the minor leagues.
When fans think about Tulowitzki in 2015, they will always remember him being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. What many forget is that Tulo compiled a streak of 41 consecutive games reaching base.
He also had a few interesting things to say about the streak. Here is a little of what Tulo had to say.
Gonzalez had a second half in which it seemed every time he went to the plate he was going to do something special. That was true when the Rockies hosted the Dodgers in late September.
Below is a video of the at-bat when CarGo his 39th homer of the season, a no-doubter to beat the Dodgers.
Despite the Rockies having a poor first half of the season, Colorado sent a trio of players to the All-Star Game in Cincinnati.
Tulowitzki made his fifth all-star appearance after being . Tulo took the spot of the Miami Marlins’ Dee Gordon, who dislocated his thumb while sliding into a base earlier in the season.
