An adult male has been taken into custody in Jefferson County in connection with a Wednesday bomb threat called into the University of Colorado Anschutz campus.

The suspect, Nathan Elliott Burleson, 30, was transported by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies to Aurora, said Sgt. Chris Amsler, an Aurora police spokesman.

A vague threat was called into the hospital around 3:30 p.m., he said.

Officers from the CU police force, Aurora Police Department and Aurora Fire Department searched the hospital but did not find any threats, Amsler said.

Burleson was arrested on suspicion of false report of an explosive device, a felony, as well as interference of staff, faculty, or students of an educational facility.
