1 Tow turns heated. A man was issued a summons Nov. 23 near the 9000 block of U.S. 285, Aspen Park, for damaging a tow truck after he refused to pay the driver for service and attempted to leave. The suspect became angry when the tow truck driver would not accept his credit card for payment, so he tried to leave in his Winnebego. He then backed his vehicle into the tow truck’s boom.

2 Car window shot out. A resident of the 6000 block of Marshmerry Lane, Evergreen, reported Nov. 22 that the window of his vehicle had been shot out. The resident was outside his house when he believed he heard a gunshot, then he noticed the rear window of his vehicle was shattered. There were no suspects.

3 Snowboard stolen. A guest of Hampton Inn, 17150 W. Colfax Ave., Golden, reported a theft Nov. 15. The victim said he forgot that he left his snowboard outside his room’s door and then went to sleep. Surveillance footage showed a man and woman step out of the elevator, take the snowboard and exit the hotel. Hotel staff could not identify them.

4 U-Haul theft suspicious. A resident of the 1200 block of B Street, Golden, reported Nov. 18 that a U-Haul truck he rented had been stolen. He said he was away from his home for multiple days and when he returned, the truck was gone. Surveillance from a nearby property on that day showed three people carrying duffle bags drive away in the truck. A neighbor reported seeing several people come and go from the truck while the resident was home. Police were unable to follow up with the resident, who was facing drug charges.
