Federal agents say a 20-year-old most-wanted Kansas man, suspected of first-degree murder, may be hiding out in Denver.
Bryan Levi Bridges is also wanted on suspicion of aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery during a botched home invasion in which a man was killed.
Authorities say on Oct. 9, 2014, Bridges and his associates broke into a home in Pittsburg, Kansas, with the intent to burglarize it. When the group was surprised by the home owners, resident Taylor Thomas was gunned down, the U.S. Marshal’s Service said.
“Bridges is believed to have pulled the trigger,” federal officials said in a news release Friday. “While his associates were arrested, Bridges remains on the run.”
Bridges has ties in Mexico, Denver and Iowa. Officials say he goes by the alias El Chinito and is a 5-foot 7-inch Laotian or white male who weighs 170 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information leading directly to Bridges’ arrest.
Anyone with information on Bridges is asked to contact the nearest marshal’s office or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102 or by e-mail at usms.wanted@usdoj.gov.
