Interview with Chris Vogel, owner and personal trainer

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: After serving 23 years in the Army as an intelligence officer and master fitness trainer, I decided to continue following my passion of helping others. Leveraging my formal education and years of experience, I have created a business model that ensures people safely achieve their health and fitness goals.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: Rockstar Fitness is like no other fitness center. Our boutique environment offers a relaxing reception area and has two high-end training studios. We consider gender, age, limitations, goals and lifestyle for each person we work with.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: The results. Being a part of a person’s journey to restoring themselves is a major driver for why we do what we do.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: My biggest challenge right now is getting the word out so that the community understands that we are not a traditional fitness center. Rather, we truly look at the entire being and care about the people we work with. We practice integrated functional training and strive to help each client feel alive again.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: I have served in combat twice and, as a former paratrooper, I have done a good job at breaking my body during my service. After all of these injuries, I have leveraged the proper team and have used my training, experience and spiritual practices to rehabilitate my body. I have strengthened the joints and muscles around those areas, as well as my entire core to do basically what a 30-year-old could do. I am 45 years old and feel amazing. I share this because I appreciate other people’s pain and try to help them relieve it while also helping them lose weight. Being functional is important to everyone.
