Police cordoned off a block in west Denver Tuesday and arrested a suspect on suspicion of domestic violence and felony menacing.
The 2900 block of West 2nd Avenue was blocked off and officers took the man, who had barricaded himself inside a home, into custody, according to Denver Police Department Twitter posts.
A reverse 911 call to residents of the area, advising them of the situation and urging them to stay inside if possible, was made, said Doug Schepman, a police spokesman.
Police tweeted about the barricade situation at 4:16 p.m. and at 4:54 issued a follow up tweet that the situation had been resolved.
The identity of the suspect was not immediately released.
