An early morning fire Monday just west of Evergreen reduced a home to a smoldering pile of rubble.
Evergreen Fire Rescue officials say no one was home when the blaze broke out on Aspen Drive in the Floyd Hill area and that no one was injured.
Firefighters found the home engulfed in flames when they responded to calls from a neighbor.
Authorities described the home as “large” and pictures from the scene showed fire consuming the structure.
It took more than 25 firefighters from several departments to knock down the blaze.
