A pedestrian was killed Tuesday in Lakewood when a driver hit him in a Walmart parking lot, police said.
The incident happened at about 2:05 p.m. at a Walmart store at 440 Wadsworth Blvd., according to Lakewood police.
The driver of a silver, four-door sedan, hit the pedestrian, a middle-aged man, and then hit the Walmart building.
Police described the driver as an elderly man.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died.
An investigation is ongoing.
