
1Conspiracy theories. A woman and her parents filed restraining orders against the daughter of the woman’s childhood friend Jan. 24. The suspect had fallen into extensive drug use and devised theories that the victim and her parents hired a hit man to kill her and her brother. The suspect and her drugged-up friends went to the victim’s house in the 1300 block of Beth Lane, Northglenn, and threatened to kill her several times. They were ordered to stay away from the victims.
2 Parking robbers. Security at El Viva Villa at 5411 Quebec St., Commerce City, called police Jan. 25 because three men got into a fight outside the club. All of the men claimed that the other men were trying to rob them. They were cited.
3 Out too late. A patrolling police officer saw a car pull into a parking lot at 11215 Washington St., Northglenn, in the middle of the night Jan. 26. The officer arrested the driver, who had a suspended license and wrote a ticket to an underage girl in the car who was out past curfew.
4 False returns. Store security at the Walmart at 5990 Dahlia St., Commerce City, called police Jan. 24 because a couple took items from the shelves and tried to return to them right away.
5 Dumpster painting. A business owner in the 5900 block of East 64th Avenue, Commerce City, called police because she saw someone drawing graffiti on one of her Dumpsters Jan. 24.
6 Morning surprise. A man noticed that someone broke multiple windows on his truck while it was parked in front of his home in the 10700 of Larson Drive, Northglenn, on Jan. 27.
