A major traffic intersection in Aurora will be hampered by emergency repairs of a leaking gas pipe.
The intersection of East Quincy Avenue and South Buckley Road will likely be partially shut down Thursday and remain closed through Sunday while a gas leak, under the middle of the intersection, is repaired, according to Aurora officials.
One lane of traffic on Buckley will be open in each direction.
A detour will direct traffic to Smoky Hill Road and Reservoir Road.
Drivers should avoid the intersection if possible, delays are expected.
Businesses in the area will remain open.
