
1 Naked bather evades police. Police were called Feb. 27 to apartments in the 500 block of Golden Ridge Road, Golden, on a report that a naked man was in the hot tub, possibly pleasuring himself. Police tried unsuccessfully to get into the hot tub area just before they heard the suspect jump over the fence. They chased the suspect, who by then was dressed, but were unable to catch him.
2 Butterflies strike at park. Police went to Lion’s Park, 1300 10th St., Golden, on Feb. 28, where the bathrooms and playground equipment were vandalized with spray paint. In the bathrooms, police found the phrase “Westside Butterflies” along with racial epithets and crude illustrations and sayings.
3 Couple takes each others’ posessions. A woman was arrested Feb. 28 in the 5000 block of South Hatch Drive, Evergreen, after calling police during an argument in which she took her husband’s medication and he took her wallet. She admitted to grabbing her husband near the neck, scratching him.
4 No charges for stray bullet. A resident of the 2000 block of Pleasant Park Road, Conifer, called Jeffco Sheriff on March 1 when a bullet hit a gutter on his house. Deputies contacted a neighbor who was shooting nearby and learned he used a hillside as a backstop, but the bullet ricocheted. The homeowner did not want to press charges as long as his gutter was replaced.
5 Yelling neighbors. A resident of an apartment in the 200 block of Washington Avenue, Golden, reported Feb. 29 that his upstairs neighbors were yelling late at night. He believed it was purposeful, related to a prior dispute.
