Through May 1. High-class art theft is afoot in “Art Dog,” a new production from Denver Children’s Theatre based on Thatcher Hurd’s popular children’s book of same name. The show, which opened March 13 at the Elaine Wolf Theatre in the Mizel Arts and Culture Center, follows mild-mannered museum guard Arthur and his canine pals as they nip at the heels of a stolen masterpiece to clear Arthur’s (and his alter-ego Art Dog’s) name. Directed by Steve Wilson and Meghann Henry, with music direction by Donna Debreceni, the show runs Sundays at 1 p.m. through May 1. 350 S. Dahlia St. Tickets: $10-$12. 303-316-6360 or .
