
A quarter of a century has passed since the first Lollapalooza made the rounds. Jane’s Addiction, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Living Colour and Nine Inch Nails headlined that first year in 1991, when big hair was in and big music festivals were in their infancy.
For its 25th anniversary, Lollapalooza looks to pull out all of the stops with one of the most impressive — if not nostalgic — headliner groups in recent memory.
This morning, Lollapalooza announced that Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers LCD Soundsystem and Chicago’s very own, J. Cole would top the bill for the July 28-31 festival.

Lollapalooza is the only American festival to have Radiohead announced as a headliner so far in the 2016 festival circuit, although Austin City Limits has yet to announce its lineup.
Single day tickets go on sale at 9AM MST at (Four-day passes have sold out).
Rounding out the high tier of the extensive lineup (see the huge poster of names above) are sultry songstress Lana Del Rey, rapper Future, British star Ellie Goulding, Diplo’s Major Lazer and house music brothers Disclosure.
Radiohead is trucking ahead full steam with the news circulating around the release of LP 9 with these kind words from someone close to the band: Collaborator Stanley Donwood is quoted as the new album is “a work of art.”
If that weren’t enough, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Goodrich is reportedly working with Red Hot Chili Peppers on a . Talk about full circle.
RHCP’s bassist Flea is also in Thom Yorke’s other other band Atoms of Peace where Godrich plays keyboard.
