Ferris State:
The Bulldogs blew a 4-2 lead in the third period against St. Cloud State but recovered to get the win in overtime. “Any win in the NCAA Tournament is great, but when you consider the opponent we played, I’m really proud of our guys and our team and the way they battled,” said Ferris State coach Bob Daniels.
Denver:
Several of the Pioneers noted that they also reached a regional final a year ago, where they lost to Providence in Providence. “We were in the situation last year, where we didn’t capitalize on it,” said defenseman Will Butcher. “We’re playing the fourth seed again, so we have a lot of guys who have been here before, so we’ll be ready when the puck drops.” Said senior captain Grant Arnold: “You can’t wait for anything in this tournament. It’s a one-game series. It’s a Game 7 every time you lace them up in this tournament.”
