Not the greatest day. Smashing Pumpkins struggled through a headlining set at Comfort Dental Amphitheatre. Photo by Joe McCabe, denverpost.com/reverb.

Just hours before doors were set to open for their Denver show, ’90s alt rockers Smashing Pumpkins and Liz Phair have cancelled their performance at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.

A release stated that the concert was cancelled due to weather conditions in Wyoming. The band played Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City last night.

Refunds are available at the point of purchase. All online purchase will be refunded automatically.

As of now, there are no plans for a rescheduled date.

Liz Phair tweeted out her apologies:

I am so sorry to announce our show tonight in Denver is cancelled. :(:( The Smashing Pumpkins are unable to depart SLC due to weather

— Liz Phair (@PhizLair)

No word of an angry Billy Corgan tweet yet.
