The Denver Public Schools Board of Education announced Tuesday that MiDian Holmes has been chosen as the new board member for northeast Denver.

Holmes will complete the four-year term vacated by
Landri Taylor set to expire in 2017, according to a DPS media release.

She was selected from among nine finalists, the school district said.

Holmes, who is regional operations manager for Randstad Technologies, plans to run for the seat in November 2017.

A graduate of Montbello High School, Holmes is a Denver native and a graduate of the University of Denver.
