A jail inmate in Summit County who was taken to the hospital after a suicide attempt, according to jailers, has died.
Jacqueline Bickford, 31, of Blue River, died Monday night at St. Anthony Hospital, Lakewood, according to a Summit County Sheriff’s Office media release.
The was made Monday morning in her cell, the sheriff said in a media release.
Bickford was first taken to St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, then transferred, in critical condition, to the hospital in Lakewood.
An autopsy is pending.
At the request of the Summit County Sheriff, the incident is being investigated by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
