A man was injured in a shooting in southwest Denver on Monday night, and a suspect was in custody, police said.
The shooting happened near South Vallejo Street and West Ohio Avenue, according to a Denver Police Department Twitter post at 7:04 p.m.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.
A male suspect was in custody, said Doug Schepman, a police spokesman. The suspect was not immediately identified.
Police did not immediately release a motive for the shooting.
Schepman said the victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
An investigation is ongoing.
