The pouring of concrete will prompt the closure of Broadway in downtown Denver over two consecutive weekends, snarling southbound traffic, city officials announced.
Motorists are asked to look for alternate routes as crews close Broadway from Colfax Avenue north to 17th Avenue.
Lanes were closed Thursday night and will remain closed through 5 a.m. Monday.
The closure, which will be repeated starting the evening of April 28, will allow construction crews to pour concrete at Broadway and 16th Avenue.
