Uber PITCH coming to Boulder, offering free ride and 15 minutes with an investor

If you’ve been trying to get money, er, funding for your big idea, you can call Uber on Thursday afternoon and force a local venture capitalist to listen to your pitch.

As part of , Boulder (here’s ) for two hours May 19. Just pull up the Uber app between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and enter the code “PITCHBOULDER” to unlock the special service. (Sorry folks! Boulder only!)

You’ll get 15 minutes of face-to-face pitching time with one of these local venture capitalists:

• David Cohen, managing partner at Techstars. Cohen, who blogs at , also founded Pinpoint Technologies, which was acquired by ZOLL Medical Corp. in 1999.

• Kyle Lefkoff, general partner at Boulder Ventures. Lefkoff has invested in 56 Colorado companies, resulting in 12 IPOs.

• Peter Roshko, general partner at Boulder Ventures. Roshko serves on the boards of Closetbox, DatAvail, Rapt Media, SyncHR, and Trust Company of America.

• , managing director at Access Venture Partners. Wallace was previously a partner with the law firm Fairfield and Woods in Denver, before joining Access.

• Frank Mendicino III, managing director at Access Venture Partners. Mendicino, who co-founded Access, is a former board member of the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association.

• Ari Newman, partner at Techstars. Newman previously developed programs and infrastructure for Techstars as a Network Catalyst.

• Natty Zola, managing director at Techstars. Zola was previously head of consumer products at MapQuest, and founded , a travel blogging platform.
