A 90-year-old woman died on Monday after her vehicle rolled over her in Colorado Springs, police say.
Sgt. Joel Kern, a police spokesman, said the “tragic accident” happened in a Walgreen’s parking lot near the intersection of Airport Road and Circle Drive.
Kern said the death is under investigation.
Witnesses told investigators the woman walked behind the vehicle when it began rolling toward, and eventually over, her. A showed a blue minivan backed partially out of parking space.
No one else was injured, and no other vehicles were involved.
