Interview with Dr. Jake Hasse, chiropractor/owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: After seeing a chiropractor for my own back pain, which, in turn, allowed me to play college basketball, I ended up working for one as an assistant since I was 18 years old. That experience propelled me to chiropractic school. I decided then to move to Colorado to start my own business in order to serve the community of Lakewood with their chiropractic health needs.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: The biggest difference between my chiropractic business and others is the complete care and true holistic experience. Not only do we provide excellent spinal and biomechanical care, but, with my master’s degree in nutrition, I also help clients focus on their internal health systems and help people with very complex conditions get answers that many doctors before them weren’t able to provide.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: The best thing about my job is working with and helping people live their lives more fully or regain the life the want. Oftentimes people come in and their only goal is to be able to be more active with their children or grandchildren, but a condition limits those activities. When they thank me for helping them regain that part of their life, it makes it all worthwhile.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: The biggest challenge is helping people identify what I do as a chiropractor for their health, and how vital preventive and early care can be to solving health issues that otherwise can become much worse down the road if left untreated or if they wait weeks to get seen.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: The biggest surprise people share with me about my style of chiropractic is how gentle and effective my treatment is. That, and actually having their questions answered about their health condition and treatment options, seem to be the biggest.
