A man convicted of sexually assaulting two women in Denver was sentenced on Friday to almost 100 years in prison.
Warren Foster, 47, was in two cold cases. He was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault, second-degree kidnapping, sexual assault with force, two counts of third-degree assault and false imprisonment.
On Friday, a Denver judge sentenced Foster to 98 years to life in prison, according to a news release from the Denver District Attorney’s office.
Foster sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman in 1998. The woman had just arrived in Denver and was looking for her friend’s house when Foster offered her a ride, according to the release.
Two years later, Foster sexually assaulted a 27-year-old after offering her a ride.
The cases were linked in 2011 through DNA. At the time Foster was serving a prison sentence in New Mexico for sexual assault. He was not brought back to Denver until 2014.
