A man who let his ankle monitor die was back in custody Friday.
The for the man, Kenneth Benally, 22, who is suspected of sexual assault on a child. Benally was wearing the monitor as a condition of bail. When the monitor powered off, authorities were unable to make contact with Benally.
On Friday, the sheriff’s office said Benally was arrested and is in custody at the Jefferson County detention facility.
