
Outdoor summer movies are a highlight in Denver, and this year there are more opportunities for fans to get their fix. With flicks ranging from crowd-pleasing to kid-friendly, all you need is a comfortable blanket, your family or friends and a few buckets of popcorn for an easy night of fun.

Film on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Family Movie Nights at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium
Load up on popcorn and sodas for kid-friendly Saturday movie nights hosted by the University of Denver and Porter Adventist Hospital. Hospital staffers will be on hand to provide free blood-pressure tests. Admission is free, doors open at 7 p.m. and movies begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the DU outdoor field.

Film on the Fly at DIA
Itap now possible to catch a movie at the airport before or after your summer travels. Films will screen for free in the new outdoor plaza that connects the Jeppesen Terminal to the Westin Hotel. Goodies such as food vouchers, aviator sunglasses and movie prizes will be handed out if you get there early. Admission is free, and parking will cost $8-24.

Northglenn Summer Movie Series
Northglenn Arts is offering its annual Summer Movie Series at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park on Friday nights in August. “Highest Drive-In” by Blue Starlite Drive-In Theater
If you miss the days of drive-in theaters, Blue Starlite is opening a pop-up location for the summer at Little Beach Park in the Vail Valley’s historic mining town of Minturn.
