A 30-year-old Fruita man was killed Monday morning in an all-terrain vehicle crash in Garfield County.
Authorities say the man was riding on a county road north of New Castle about 9 a.m. when he lost control on a switchback and was ejected from his ATV.
“Ultimately the ATV came to rest on top of the driver,” the county sheriff’s office said in a news release. “When he was later discovered, authorities were notified and deputies responded to the scene.”
The man’s name has not been released.
