Police are searching for Shawn William Scott, 39, who is suspected of robbing at least four banks in the Denver area and then fleeing the scene on bike.
Scott is a white male . He has a tattoo on the left side of his neck that says, “Jamie,” and a tattoo on the right side that says, “Sara,” according to Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
In the most recent robbery — of Vectra Bank at 401 E. Speer Blvd. on June 29 — police suspect Scott was wearing a dark, curly wig and sunglasses.
Scott was photographed at each of the banks during the time of the robberies. Witnesses said they saw him flee on a bike, according to Crime Stoppers.
Scott is also suspected of robbing two US Banks, at 1248 S. Broadway on May 25 and at 3400 W. 38th Ave. on June 20, and a Key Bank, 2776 N. Speer Blvd., on June 14.
Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information. Denver police ask that anyone with information call 720-913-7867 or text 274637 with the title DMCS before the message.
