Man sentenced to life in prison for fatal 2013 shooting outside Aurora’s Fuego Fuego

The case was initially stalled for a year until a Crime Stoppers tip pointed police to Edgar Ibarra-Rodriguez

A man was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole Monday for the November 2013 fatal shooting of Humberto Bautista .

Edgar Ibarra-Rodriguez fired a shot from his car at Bautista, who died hours later.

The  before an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip was submitted and police were able to get a search warrant for Ibarra-Rodriquez.

“The defendantap crime was coldhearted and senseless,” said Tom Byrnes, deputy district attorney. “We are grateful to the witnesses who stepped forward and the persistence of the Aurora detectives who brought this 2013 case to a successful resolution.”
