Man faces attempted murder charge for KFC parking lot shooting

A man who shot another manr was formally charged with attempted first-degree murder Wednesday.

Dave Young, 17th Judicial District Attorney, announced Thomas Flynn, 30, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, illegal discharge of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, second-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft, violation of bail bond conditions, theft and two counts of crime of violence as sentencing enhancers.

Jerome Campbell, 49, was shot in the head shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday in his vehicle while it was in the parking lot of Kentucky Fried Chicken at 92nd Avenue and Federal Boulevard.

Flynn fled, but surrendered to police on Sunday.
