Lakewood police on Tuesday identified the 30-year-old man who died last week after apparently .
Brandon Ross Kableman was found lying in the roadway Thursday night after the incident near the intersection of 10th Avenue and Garrison Street. He was taken to a hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
Police say Kableman’s sister-in-law reported the two were in a sports utility vehicle on Garrison Street and that they were arguing when suddenly Kableman jumped out.
According to investigators, the woman said Kableman was driving when he left the vehicle and that she tried to control the SUV when it hit power poles and traffic signals.
“Although she indicated that Kableman was driving,” police say, “detectives have been unable to confirm her account.”
Kableman’s wife was in a second vehicle in the vicinity of where the incident happened and stopped after Kableman apparently jumped from the SUV.
Police say detectives will analyze physical evidence to figure out who was driving the SUV and that they are awaiting toxicology reports to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
“As of yet, no arrests have been made in connection with the accident,” the release said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.
