Alcohol and speed are suspected as factors in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday in the high country that left a Boulder woman dead, investigators say.

Leslie Henderson, 46, died in the crash on Colorado 134 about 40 miles south of Steamboat Springs.

The Colorado State Patrol says Henderson was driving a 1996 Acura Integra westbound on the highway when she left the roadway on a left curve and rolled at least one time.

Henderson was wearing a seatbelt but died at the scene, authorities say. The crash was discovered about 6:30 a.m.

“While the cause of the crash is still under investigation,” the State Patrol said in a crash bulletin, “alcohol use and excessive speed are suspected as contributing factors.”
