A man and a woman were found dead overnight Thursday in their Mesa County home, authorities say.
County sheriff’s deputies were called to the house in Clifton after an out-of-state family member reached out to investigators out of concern for the residents’ safety.
The sheriff’s office says there were no immediate signs of forced entry at the home and that investigators believe the deaths are an isolated incident.
“There are no outstanding subjects,” the sheriff’s office said in a Friday news release.
The sheriff’s office did not identify the pair found dead, but said they were in their 20s. An investigation into the deaths is still active and ongoing.
Anyone with information about the deaths is asked to call the sheriff’s office Witness Tip Line at 970-244-3526 or Crime Stoppers at 970-241-STOP.
