A 42-year-old man has been formally charged with first-degree murder of a manager at a Family Dollar store in Adams County.
is accused of killing Alejandro Alvear, 49, during an argument on Sept. 1 after making a purchase. Prosecutors say a confrontation began when Grayson set off an alarm as he began to leave the store at 7067 Pecos St.
Alvear died of multiple stab wounds, authorities say.
The Adams County district attorney’s office says Grayson was advised of the charges against him on Wednesday morning. His preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 13.
