
Lorelai and Rory Gilmore’s favorite place for a caffeine fix is coming to Colorado this week for one day only.
From 7 a.m. to noon Wednesday, hundreds of coffee shops around the country will be transformed into Luke’s Diner from “Gilmore Girls,” with free coffee for the first 250 fans at each establishment and a “fun surprise under their custom ‘Gilmore Girls’ coffee sleeve,” dining news website reported Monday.
Six Colorado coffee shops, including three in the Denver metro area, have signed on to participate in the pop-up experience, according to a :

- Kawa Coffee, 2427 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909
Wednesday’s promotion comes ahead of the popular TV show’s , “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” set, to be released Nov. 25 on Netflix.
Participating coffee shops will be provided with “all the Luke’s Diner essentials,” including branded aprons and T-shirts, according to Eater. The event is being sponsored by Netflix.
Here’s to hoping the diner’s grouchy, flannel-shirted proprietor makes an appearance, too.
