Adams County coroner identifies man fatally shot in Aurora’s Morris Heights neighborhood

Authorities in Adams County have identified the man in Aurora’s Morris Heights neighborhood.

The county coroner’s office says 29-year-old Josias Suarez, of Lakewood, died of multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at University of Colorado Hospital.

Suarez was shot on Sunday afternoon on the 3100 block of Uvalda Street, according to Aurora police. He was carried to the hospital.

“All involved parties are accounted for,” police said in a news release Sunday, “and there is no risk to the community.”

Aurora police have not released the names of any suspects in the case or said what motivated the shooting.
