Lakewood police are investigating a shooting that killed a 44-year-old man Saturday, after finding his body in a vehicle in a ditch.
Police dispatch received multiple calls of shots fired near West Ninth Avenue and Allison Street at about 7 p.m.
“The driver of that vehicle, 44-year-old Phillip Todd Peny, had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene,” police said in a news release.
Lakewood police detectives ask that anyone who has information that would assist them in their investigation call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.
