An Aurora man who was fatally shot on Thanksgiving Day in Denver has been identified.
Luis Zamora-Ornelas, 20, died at about 6:55 a.m. Thursday at Denver Health medical center, according to the Denver medical examiner’s office.
Luis Zamora-Ornelas had been taken by ambulance to the medical center from the 4300 block of Fillmore Street.
Denver police had responded at about 5:10 a.m. Thursday to a Fillmore Street residence on a and found Zamora-Ornelas.
Zamora-Ornelas died of a gunshot wound, and his death is being investigated as a homicide, the coroner’s office said Monday.
