Police in Colorado Springs say they have located a vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run collision Sunday night that left a Virginia man dead.
Investigators were looking for a grey 2008 Ford Escape in connection with the case. Lt. Howard Black said Tuesday morning no arrests have been made and that an investigation into the crash remains active and ongoing.
“The vehicle was found through community tips,” Black said.

The man — a pedestrian — was killed while crossing the southbound lanes of North Academy Boulevard at its intersection with Marion Drive at about 8 p.m. Sunday.
Colorado Springs police on Tuesday identified the man as 52-year-old Jeffrey Jacobs and said he died of blunt force trauma. Authorities did not say where in Virginia Jacobs was from or what he was doing in Colorado Springs.
