American Legion Post 1 postpones its Pearl Harbor ceremony in Denver

Organizers were worried about snow and cold in Denver on Wednesday

Wednesday’s ceremony to honor two of Denver’s remaining Pearl Harbor survivors has been postponed.

It was scheduled for the , but freezing temperatures and predicted snowfall made organizers wary of hosting elderly guests at the American Legion Post 1 on 5400 E. Yale Ave. in Denver, as they could get hurt traveling.

Organizers said they decided to delay the event until Dec. 17 with a location to be determined. For updates, contact Sal Villano at salvillanojr@gmail.com. The luncheon at the VFW post at 4747 W. Colfax Ave. will still happen.
