George Washington hosts Overland on Friday night at 7 p.m. in a non-conference hoops showdown, with both teams looking impressive out of the gate in 2016-17.

The No. 5 Patriots (4-0) won the Rock Canyon/Mountain Vista Tournament to open the year, while the No. 9 Blazers (1-0) opened their season with a statement victory at home over Regis Jesuit.

Senior point guard Jervay Green headlines GWHS, while juniors Goy Wang and Daijon Smith are the main offensive catalysts for OHS.

Denver Post preps editor Kyle Newman previews the game on this week’s edition of Post Preps TV.
