Office, retail complex at 16th and Larimer last traded hands in 2013 for $68.25M

Writer Square, a downtown office and retail complex that fronts the 16th Street Mall, has a new owner — Stan Kroenke.

A limited liability company that shares an address with The Kroenke Group’s Columbia, Mo., offices and lists Kroenke Sports & Entertainment CFO Bruce Glazer as its registered agent paid $96 million for the 179,271-square-foot complex last week, according to city records.

The seller was a joint venture between Unico Properties and LaSalle Investment Management. They paid $68.25 million for the property at 16th and Larimer streets when they purchased it in 2013, according to city records.

, billionaire owner of the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rapids, last year was part of the . His Kroenke Sports & Entertainment also owns the Pepsi Center, Paramount Theatre and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
