
Boulder police gave the all-clear shortly before 12:30 p.m. after a bomb dog swept the building at 6007 Oreg Drive and found no explosive devices.
The center received the bomb threat by way of an automated phone call around 9:30 a.m. The 53,000-square-foot facility was quickly evacuated and emergency responders called for a bomb dog from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
The dog and its handler arrived about 11 a.m. and performed a thorough search of the facility, which was completed last summer.
Bomb threats were also called into Jewish community centers in Salt Lake City; Albany, N.Y. ; Syracuse, N.Y.; Milwaukee, San Diego and other cities.
According to news reports, this is the third time this month that multiple Jewish community centers across the country have been targeted with bomb threats. Boulder police said the Boulder Jewish Community Center did not report any bomb threats during the earlier waves.
