A 41-year-old woman has been charged with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence in connection with a January car wreck in Thornton that killed a father and seriously injured his 13-year-old son.
Teresa Tarin is also accused of vehicular assault while driving under the influence in the Jan. 8 crash on the 15500 block of York Street.
Adams County prosecutors say she was driving north when she lost control of her 2006 Honda CRV, hit a concrete barrier and became airborne. The vehicle crashed into a 2010 Jeep Wrangler driven by 57-year-old Gregory Maxwell Holt, killing him. Holt’s 13-year-old son was seriously injured.

According , Gregory Holt was a skilled carpenter who volunteered for Habitat For Humanity.
“What brought him the most joy was spending time with his best friend and son, Max,” the death notice says.
Tarin was arrested Wednesday and later freed after posting $20,000 bail. She is due in court April 24.
