Mystery melee. Witnesses reported a fight between two men in the 500 block of North Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, March 25. Officers located a man nearby bleeding from his mouth and cheek. He was drunk. He was taken to a hospital but refused to provide information beyond that he told a friend that day that his fiancee had come on to him.

Sushi house. Police went to a home in the 100 block of Third Street, Castle Rock, March 22 following reports its front door was broken and open. A K-9 unit cleared the house. There was no one inside. Police found two broken windows. The homeowner was notified but didn’t seem to care as they said they planned to tear down the structure to make way for a sushi restaurant.

Egg mystery. A home in the 4600 block of North Foxtail Drive, Castle Rock, was egged on March 11. A security camera revealed no suspect information.

Masked men in Mercedes. Police responded to reports of men trying the doors on cars in an apartment complex parking lot in the 9000 block of Yosemite Street, Lone Tree, around 4 a.m. March 26. Officers spotted a Mercedes with three men inside with covered faces. Police followed the car and determined it was stolen. They turned on sirens but the car sped off onto C-470 and police gave up pursuit. The men never got into any cars in the lot.

Close encounter. A driver was stopped in the intersection of Jordan Road and Carlson Drive, Parker, March 8 because they were following too closely. The driver was determined to be drunk and driving without insurance or a valid license and was arrested.
