Long Road in Greenwood Village has closed this week and will remain unavailable to motorists for the next eight months.

Crews will be completely reconstructing the road, improving drainage in the corridor and adding landscaping to enhance the road’s appearance. The work is expected to last until Dec. 10, and there will be no through access until then.

Signs have been posted at the intersections of Holly Street and Orchard Road and Orchard Road and University Boulevard to advise motorists to use either Arapahoe Road or Belleview Avenue as alternate routes.

For more information about the project, including road closures and maps of detour routes, visit the project website, at , call the city at 303-708-6139 or email jwannigman@greenwoodvillage.com.
