Conejos Street at America The Beautiful Park has been Charles Parfait and Tisha Casto’s home for two years, but now they must leave.

They were among the homeless living in one of a dozen campers, trucks, vans and cars parked along the street who were forced to pack up and move out Wednesday morning in preparation for a new overnight parking ban. “I honestly don’t know where we’ll go,” said Casto, 40, from the Chevrolet G20 van where she and Parfait, 39, sleep. A welcome mat sits outside the door.

“We’re stuck, and we don’t have a choice. We move, or they take our home,” Casto said. “This was the last safe haven for anybody to camp at.”
