A person was fatally shot by a deputy in Colorado City on Monday evening.
The officer-involved shooting happened in the 2900 block of Applewood Drive, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
The person shot was pronounced dead by emergency medical responders. No deputies were injured, according to a news release.
The sheriff’s office did not say why deputies were at the home. Further information, including identification, on the person who was shot was not immediately released.
An investigation is ongoing.
